Mini Apple Pies

I saw the cutest mini pies on Pinterest & I knew I just had to make them.
My husband and I were invited to a Pie Night, so I thought that was the perfect opportunity to make these.

They were not that difficult to make, but the lattice did take some time.
I should have looked at my pin on Pinterest before I made these because then I wouldn't have tried to curl the edges.

Candy Christmas Trees

This is what we did tonight as a family.
Instead of our gingerbread houses, we decided to make candy Christmas trees.

YW Christmas Gifts

This year for our YW Christmas gifts we decided to make these plaques.

I found this idea on the Internet which was my inspiration & when I did a Google search I found this design that I wanted to use.

One of our YW leaders, Rachel & her husband, cut all the wood boards & painted them.
She even distressed them--so awesome!

**For those of you who've asked, the boards are 2 feet long and half of them are 7 inches wide & the other half are about 5 3/4 inches wide.

Celebrate the Sparkle of the Season - 5th Annual Girls' Night Cocoa Party

Every year for the last 4 years we've had a girls' night cocoa party & it's so much fun.
This year it was iffy that it was actually going to happen because the two ladies I plan the party with had moved.  I really wanted to have the party, but it seemed like a lot of work for this preggo momma, so luckily I had a couple of friends volunteer to help me.

And without further ado, here are the details.

Tablescape details...

Chocolate Raspberry Meringues (inspired by this recipe, but used this recipe)

Mini Cupcakes (inspired by this recipe) & Sugar Cookies (design inspired by this)

Decoration details...

A huge thanks & shout out to Nicole & Megan for helping with this party!!!
It was so much fun & it was so nice to see all you wonderful ladies again.
Merry Christmas!!

This year I wanted to do something a little different by also doing something for someone else, so I decided to do a canned food drive during our party.  Along with the Evite I sent out I asked everyone to bring a non-perishable food item.  Together we were able to collect 6 grocery bags stocked full of groceries to give a local family in need.  It's such a great feeling to be able to give to others who are in need at this time of year.

Wall Stencil Template

Remember this wall that we created together?

Yes, I still wish I had this wall in my house too--lucky Creative Momma C!!
I received an email from a reader this week who wanted the template we used to cut out on the Cricut & so, here it is...

Click here or on the above picture to download the stencil SCUT2 file.
This file is courtesy of Creative Momma C & you need to have the Sure Cuts Alot software in order to use this file.

This file is for PERSONAL USE only & be sure to link back to this website if you post about it.

If you don't have Sure Cuts Alot software you can visit the website with the tutorial that we followed, Jones Design Company & she has a free printable template.

And just another peek at the wall as a photo backdrop.
That's my darling little niece, Creative Momma C's baby.

She has since added a mantel to that wall & I can't wait to see it!!
Those pictures are coming soon.
Probably after Christmas when she's finished with her mad Christmas gift making skills :)
